PCA Series 1.5 HP Packaged Chillers
PCA Series Packaged Chiller by AEC are specially engineered for small, demanding industrial applications. Each self-contained unit is designed for immediate hook-up and is ready to supply clean, cooling water at constant temperatures.
Control within +/- 2°F (1.1°C) is achieved using microprocessor based PID controls with autotuning capability. NEMA 1-style electrical enclosures, non-ferrous wetted surfaces, and all refrigerant safeties. In order to conserve valuable floor space, the PCA chiller offers a space-saving footprint of 20” wide x 26” deep.
REQUEST A QUOTE Find a rep- A packaged chiller can be a good choice when a specific machine or process requires dedicated cooling rather than plant-wide cooling capacity. This approach can be especially useful for smaller applications or equipment with independent process temperature requirements.
- Maintaining a stable cooling water temperature helps provide repeatable cooling conditions to production equipment. The PCA Series 1.5 HP Packaged Chiller uses PID temperature control with autotuning to maintain process water temperature within ±2°F (1.1°C).
- PID control continuously regulates chiller operation around the desired temperature setpoint. In the PCA Series 1.5 HP Packaged Chiller, the microprocessor-based PID controller includes autotuning to support precise process temperature control.
- Glycol may be required when process fluid temperatures are low enough that freeze protection becomes necessary. For the PCA Series 1.5 HP Packaged Chiller, glycol is required when operating with fluid temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
- A self-contained packaged chiller combines the primary cooling and circulation components into one unit, providing a dedicated process cooling solution. The PCA Series is designed for immediate hookup and includes an integrated tank, pump, refrigeration system, and controls.
- Processors should consider the required cooling load, desired process water temperature, required flow and pressure, available installation space, utility requirements, and the cooling demands of the equipment being served.
- Leaving water temperature range 35°F to 65°F (1.6°C to 18.3°C), glycol is required for fluid temps below 50°F (10°C)
