AEC offers Bindicator and Monitor rotary level sensors, as well as Bindicator radio frequency sensors and silo inventory measuring heads. Control consoles are also available.
REQUEST A QUOTE Find a rep- Material level indicators provide visibility into material levels within bins, hoppers, or silos. This information can help operators manage material availability and make informed decisions about replenishment and material handling.
- Level sensors can be positioned to indicate when material reaches predetermined levels. These indications can help operators identify when additional material may be needed or when a vessel is approaching its intended fill level.
- Rotary level sensors use a rotating paddle to detect material at a specific point, while radio frequency sensors use an electronic probe for material detection. Choosing between them depends on the material, vessel, installation, and sensing requirements.
- A point level sensor is useful for detecting material at a particular location, such as a high or low level. A silo inventory measuring system is better suited when the goal is to measure material level across a larger storage vessel rather than detect a single predetermined point.
- Greater visibility into stored material levels can help processors monitor available inventory and plan material replenishment more effectively. This is particularly valuable in bulk storage applications where material cannot be easily inspected visually.
- Considerations include the material being monitored, vessel type and size, desired measurement method, sensor location, operating environment, and whether the application requires point-level detection or broader inventory measurement.
