FD & FV Series
FD & FV Series Fluff Blowers
FD and FV conveying systems are used to convey ground film scrap to the fluff feed unit or storage tank. FD Series fluff blowers feature direct drive motors, and FV Series blowers feature belt drive motors.
REQUEST A QUOTE Find a rep- Ground film scrap, or fluff, has different handling characteristics than dense pelletized material. A conveying system designed specifically for fluff helps move the lightweight material reliably between size-reduction equipment, feed units, and storage.
- Fluff conveying helps move ground film scrap through the material handling process after size reduction. This can support efficient transfer of reclaimed material to storage or downstream equipment for continued processing.
- Direct-drive blowers connect the motor directly to the blower, while belt-drive systems transfer power through a belt arrangement. The FD & FV Series provides the FD Series with direct-drive motors and the FV Series with belt-drive motors.
- The appropriate choice depends on the requirements of the specific conveying application and whether a direct-drive or belt-drive blower configuration is preferred. The FD Series uses direct drive, while the FV Series uses belt drive.
- Processors should consider the characteristics of the ground film scrap, required conveying rate, conveying distance, equipment layout, and where the material needs to be delivered when configuring a fluff conveying system.
- Fluff blowers can be used to transfer ground film scrap to the next stage of the material handling process. The FD & FV Series is specifically designed to convey ground film scrap to a fluff feed unit or storage tank.
- High-performance blowers and cyclones designed for fluff
- Choice of 230/3/60 or 460/3/60 operating voltages
- Direct drive (FD) or belt drive (FV) blower motors
- Manual starter on blower
- Special voltage options available
