Bag Break System

Bag Break Storage System

The Bag Break Systems are designed in the modular concept using standard components to aid in disposing of your empty bags. This gives you more options when designing systems to fit your needs. Standard units include a bag station hopper, grate with cutter blade, bag shelf, and dust collecting systems. Discharging accessories include gravity, auger, or air options.

  • Bag break stations provide a dedicated point for opening bags and introducing material into a downstream handling or conveying process. They can help organize manual bag unloading while allowing the material to be collected for controlled transfer to the next stage of production.
  • Opening bags of powdered or granular material can release dust into the surrounding work area. Integrating dust collection with the bag opening station helps capture airborne material generated during unloading and supports a cleaner material handling process.
  • Processors should consider the material being handled, bag size, unloading frequency, dust generation, required discharge method, and how the station will connect with downstream material handling equipment.
  • Empty bags can accumulate quickly in operations that rely on bagged raw materials. Providing a defined method for collecting and compacting empty bags can simplify disposal and help keep the unloading area organized.
  • Material leaving a bag break station can be transferred using different methods depending on the application and equipment layout. The AEC Bag Break System supports gravity, auger, or air-based discharge configurations, allowing the unloading station to be adapted to the material handling process.
  • A modular design allows the bag unloading system to be configured around specific material handling and discharge requirements. This provides flexibility when integrating the station with other conveying, storage, or processing equipment.
