AH Series Drying Hoppers
AH Series Drying Hoppers have stainless steel interiors, and these hoppers are built to handle the toughest applications. The hoppers feature a unique mass-flow design and full insulation. For convenience, they come with a slide gate material shut-off valve, large access doors, and quick-release clamps, making them easy to clean. The AH Series drying hoppers can be mounted in various configurations, including on a stand or directly on a machine.

- Dead zones can allow material to remain in certain areas of a hopper instead of moving consistently through the drying process. Minimizing these areas helps promote more predictable material flow and drying performance.
- Insulation helps reduce heat loss from the drying hopper and maintain more stable internal drying conditions. This can improve thermal efficiency and help the drying system maintain the desired material temperature.
- Hopper geometry and material flow influence how consistently resin moves through the drying process. A properly designed hopper helps provide more predictable residence time so material receives the required drying exposure before processing.
- Processors should consider material throughput, required drying time, material characteristics, airflow requirements, installation configuration, and the drying system being used when selecting and sizing a drying hopper.
