AEC Whitlock Vacuum-Pressure Railcar Unloading Systems
The heart of the system is a motor/blower assembly with an air-operated vacuum relief valve, powered by a 30, 40, or 50 horsepower TEFC electric motor. The positive displacement blower is protected by a two-stage, high velocity filter assembly (with replaceable cartridge) for ease of maintenance. On the vacuum side, material is separated from the airstream by a cyclone or filter receiver. Material drops through the receiver into a rotary airlock, and down to a Whitlock takeoff adapter for delivery by the pressure side to a storage silo or other destination.
