You can depend on these AEC operating units for advanced auxiliary equipment and systems that are simple to obtain, install, operate and maintain:
AEC started in 1957 by Charles Waters and Lloyd Qually when they formed a small business in the suburbs of Chicago to manufacture cooling towers and portable chillers for the plastics industry. Over the years, AEC began moving into related areas and began producing material handling, granulation and size reduction equipment and remains successful with the ability to introduce new products and respond quickly to the needs of their customers.
In 1975 the innovative HydReclaim was developed and has since been the leader in blending and feeding for metering resin and other processing additives into extruders, injection molding machines and other process equipment. By late 2002 AEC had successfully produced approximately 100 new products from blenders to granulators and chillers.
Into the turn of the century, five products related to extrusion-HydReclaim, Whitlock, Nelmor, Application Engineering and Automation Engineering, were branded with the AEC name to highlight their integrated approach to the plastics industry.
By late 2002, the domestic market became flooded with used plastics auxiliary equipment subsequently leading to customers looking at cheaper alternatives for their own company needs. AEC began to look overseas at the Asian market and the idea to open a production plant in Singapore. With distributors strategically placed throughout China AEC was able to provide more cost effective services to its Asian customers. At the same time, AEC also begins to focus on the lower end of the market, by providing lower priced products that are more affordable. With out sacrificing quality, the appeal to buy new products verses used helps bring AEC back to its customers with the same commitment to service.
In late 2005, as AEC continues to grow, relocated their production plant from Wood Dale, IL to an updated and much larger facility in New Berlin, WI.
AEC has become a single source supplier for any plastics processing facility and has provided turnkey systems for several customers, including some new operations in its Asian market such as; mobile phones, appliances, automotive, PC, electronics and medical parts and assemblies. AEC has grown as a company by also providing services outside of the plastics industry. Printing and graphic arts such as magazines have looked to AEC for quality products and services as well as packaging for medicine for the pharmaceutical industries.
Currently, AEC stands apart from its competitors with eight manufacturing facilities worldwide, eleven service centers strategically placed around the globe and more than 200 service personnel worldwide.
To be the world's premier manufacturer and supplier of process equipment, parts and service.
ACS is committed to providing value to our customers with the highest quality products and services for their manufacturing process needs.
